Important information for travelers to Varna and Burgas!
If you are planning a domestic flight from Sofia Airport, it is advisable to be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. From now on, flights will be served from gates located in the inner part of Terminal 2.
This means that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the shops, restaurants and business lounge located in Terminal 2 before your journey.

10 YEARS SOFIA AIRPORT AND QATAR AIRWAYS

Doha-Sofia flight was welcomed with a water cannon salute celebrating the long-standing partnership between the capital’s airport and the airline. In a festive atmosphere, passengers travelling on the route received special gifts.

Passengers of the carrier will have the opportunity to travel for business or tourism and explore the beautiful capital of Bulgaria or the seaside cities Varna and Bourgas, with connection flights from Sofia. Our long-term partnership with Qatar airlines means a lot and we will do our best to expand it, especially in 2022 when the FIFA WORLD CUP will take place in Qatar”, says Jesus Caballero, CEO of SOF Connect, Sofia Airport`s operator.

10 years after the opening of Doha-Sofia-Doha route, it continues to enjoy great interest. Currently the flight has a stopover in Bucharest, Romania, but from 16 December the flights will be direct.
