Important information for travelers to Varna and Burgas!
If you are planning a domestic flight from Sofia Airport, it is advisable to be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. From now on, flights will be served from gates located in the inner part of Terminal 2.
This means that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the shops, restaurants and business lounge located in Terminal 2 before your journey.

New routes

Sofia Airport travellers will be able to choose from up to 90 new and well-known destinations this summer.

WROCLAW

Ryanair has commenced flights to the Polish city of Wroclaw twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The city has risen from the ruins of the Second World War and is now an important transport hub with the second largest railway junction in the country.

YEREVAN

The Armenian capital of Yerevan is accessible on Wednesdays and Sundays. Regular flights are operated by Wizz air. Be sure to visit one of the world’s most ancient cities.

RIYADH

Wizz air also operates direct flights to Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh. They operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays from 23 April. Once a small walled city, today Riyadh has developed into a dynamic modern metropolis. The Arab capital is among the fastest growing and most promising cities in the world.

OSLO

Sofia Airport welcomes another new destination to its summer schedule. From 24 June, Norwegian Air Shuttle will start operating regular flights to the Norwegian capital Oslo. Also known as the “Phoenix City”, Oslo is one of Europe’s greenest capitals.

RHODES

Ryanair has another new destination on its summer programme which is new to Sofia Airport. This is Rhodes. Flights to the Greek city featuring one of the Seven Wonders of the World start from 3 June on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

ANTALYA

Turkey’s Mediterranean coast is one flight away with flights to Antalya. You can choose the endless beaches or enjoy the many archaeological and historical sites.

PRAGUE

If you’re a beer lover don’t miss a visit to the capital of the Czech Republic. With direct flights to Prague you can explore the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the must-see Astronomical Clock, as well as many of the city’s other attractions.

PALMA DE MALLORCA

The island of Mallorca and the Balearic Islands are even closer with Ryanair flights from Sofia to Palma de Mallorca. The beaches, food, cultural life and historical sites attract thousands of visitors a year.

MALAGA

Another Spanish city is part of the capital’s airport’s summer flight schedule. You can now fly directly to Pablo Picasso’s birthplace, Malaga, with Ryanair.
