As of May 1, 2022, the COVID-19-related restrictions on arrival from abroad will be lifted.
For the convenience of travelers, COVID-19 testing laboratories have been set up in the public areas of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to issue the necessary travel health certificates.
The PCR test result is ready within 2 hours and the antigen test within 20 minutes. The services are available not only to arriving and departing passengers, but also to all citizens.

Sofia Airport has parking spaces at both terminals. The price for 1 hour is BGN 4. The parking lot at Terminal 1 is open-air with a capacity of 400 parking spaces, while the one at Terminal 2 is covered and is connected by a hot link to the public departure and arrival areas. Its capacity is 800 parking spaces.

Departing passengers and their hand baggage are subject to a thorough check for items prohibited for carriage on board the aircraft or for compliance with restrictions on the carriage of liquids, aerosols and gels in hand baggage.
Restrictions do not apply to products purchased from shops after the security checkpoints, nor to certain medicines and foodstuffs.

ASPIRE’s Business Lounge is located in Terminal 2, with one coming soon to Terminal 1. It is located on level “0” and offers a quiet and cosy atmosphere to spend time before your flight.
It also has a designated smoking area, which is the only one in a border area.
The price for a single visit per person is 25 euros, which can be paid in cash (in BGN or EUR) or by credit card.
