The first flight of Aeroflot, arriving from Moscow (Sheremetyevo) was welcomed with a water cannon salute. After more than an year break the Russian national carrier resumes its regular flights to the Bulgarian capital. Destination will be operated four times weekly – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
According to the CEO of SOF Connect Mr. Jesus Caballero, the Russian market is extremely important to us. On the one hand, Russian tourists love Bulgaria and its capital city is a preferable all season destination. On the other hand flights between both countries benefit and contribute to tradinonally good business relations. This is confirmed from the full flight which was welcomed by the management team of SOF Connect, the operator of Sofia Airport, and airline representatives.
