Exhibition “Wisdom and Skills” Arrives at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport
Jesús Caballero, CEO of SOF Connect, welcomed the Danish Ambassador Flemming Stender, with whom he toured the exhibition “Wisdom and Skills.” The exhibition was prepared and curated by Anna Kancheva and Rumyána Kovacheva in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark and is part of the Embassy’s cultural program in connection with Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Words that have traveled through generations, now in a place where everything is in motion.
After its presentation in November 2025 at the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia, accompanying the opening of the Danish literature corner, and its visit to the Paisii Hilendarski Sofia High School of Mathematics, the exhibition has now arrived at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport.
At the airport, the exhibition welcomes passengers with an invitation to a moment of calm, reflection, and contemplation of values such as empathy, curiosity, creativity, and sustainability. It offers a contemporary interpretation of the wisdom of the past, encoded in Danish proverbs.
The proverbs represent some of the “most traveling forms” of knowledge and collective intelligence—passed between generations and cultures. Inspired by the ideas of N. F. S. Grundtvig, one of Denmark’s most important thinkers, the curators draw parallels between timeless human values and the modern concept of social-emotional skills, as outlined in studies by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
The exhibition can be viewed at Terminal 2 of Vasil Levski Sofia Airport until mid-February.
