SOF Connect has been the operator of the airport under a 35-year concession agreement since April 2021. The company is owned by Meridiam, a global infrastructure investor focused on sustainable public infrastructure development.
We are working on one of Bulgaria’s most significant infrastructure transformation projects – the construction of Terminal 3, the modernization of the airport complex, and the transformation of Vasil Levski Sofia Airport into a five-star regional airport and Bulgaria’s gateway to the world.

For our Main Human Resources Division at SOF Connect, we are looking to hire an Expert Payroll.
The role:
Our Expert Payroll is a skilled professional with a high degree of confidentiality. She/he should process labor and civil contracts, additional agreements, references for insurance length of service and income, benefits, applications for leave, and other documents concerning the origin, existence, and termination of employment relationships. Accepts, verifies, and controls the received documents, prepares reports, provides information, suggests solutions to different cases, ensures the monthly payment of labor remunerations.
In addition, the role supports broader HR activities by maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal requirements and ensuring proper filing of documentation. The position also participates in the preparation and updating of internal HR policies and supports the implementation of procedures related to working conditions, working time, leave, and absences.
The Expert Payroll contributes to HR reporting and workforce analysis and serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, policies, and HR processes, providing clear and timely support.
Your profile:
- University degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 1 year of professional experience gained in positions relevant to the role
- Good knowledge of the regulations concerning human resource management
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply HR rules and regulations
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and experience with HR software/databases
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent organizational, coordination and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, high level of flexibility, desire to develop new skills
