Important information for travelers to Varna and Burgas!
If you are planning a domestic flight from Sofia Airport, it is advisable to be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. From now on, flights will be served from gates located in the inner part of Terminal 2.
This means that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the shops, restaurants and business lounge located in Terminal 2 before your journey.

JOST LAMMERS AND JESUS CABALLERO: WE ARE FULLY COMMITTED TO WORKING TOGETHER TO TRANSFORM SOFIA AIRPORT

Munich Airport’s President and CEO Jost Lammers met with Jesus Caballero, CEO of Sofia Airport, at the Bavarian air traffic hub in Munich. Both teams confirmed their full commitment to the joint Sofia Airport transformation project in cooperation with the investment fund Meridiam.

The Bulgarian team visited Munich to exchange best practice solutions and learn more about the unique travel experience at Europe’s first 5-star airport. The joint work continues intensively in several key areas such as the structure and organization of operations and processes, including training for Sofia staff, the digital transformation and ICT plan for 2022 as well as the overall organization of terminal operations from a coordination center.

„2022 is a key year in terms of accelerating investments and making visible progress in Sofia. We are pleased to have the full support and expertise of the Munich Airport team on this exciting transformation journey“, Jesus Caballero said during the visit.
