Important information for travelers to Varna and Burgas!
If you are planning a domestic flight from Sofia Airport, it is advisable to be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. From now on, flights will be served from gates located in the inner part of Terminal 2.
This means that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the shops, restaurants and business lounge located in Terminal 2 before your journey.

SECURITY GUARD - X-RAY OPERATOR

The role:

Security guard – X-ray operator is responsible for checking of the passengers’ security of as follows: access control; check-in and carry-on baggage with x-ray equipment; manual search of persons and hand luggage and belongings; inspection with equipment to detect traces of explosives; checking liquids, aerosols and gels; performs scanner verification for security purposes and any other applicable verification methods; strictly adheres to security standards. Security guard – X-ray operator removes baggage with questionable content from the transport lane; participates in preparation of passenger-baggage matching procedures; upon discovery of suspicious or abandoned objects, immediately informs the management; controls the exit and entrance from/to generally accessible areas and restricted access areas, as well as its critical parts; monitors for good maintenance and correct use of the technical devices.
