If you are planning a domestic flight from Sofia Airport, it is advisable to be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. From now on, flights will be served from gates located in the inner part of Terminal 2.
This means that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the shops, restaurants and business lounge located in Terminal 2 before your journey.

SOF CONNECT’S AVIATION TRAINING CENTER WILL EDUCATE SPECIALISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

The Aviation Training Center of SOF Connect-the operator of Sofia Airport, has received accreditation from the World Airports Association – ACI (Airports Council International). The Center is thus the only one in Bulgaria that will be training aviation specialists from all over the world under ACI programs.
The certificate was awarded to Jesus Caballero, CEO of SOF Connect by Justin Erbacci,

ACI World Director General and Olivier Jankovec, ACI EUROPE Director General.

“Our accreditation by ACI is an outstanding achievement and we are delighted to join the global airport association’s programme as its aviation training partner. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to the highest standards in the training of professionals for the aviation industry. Our team is dedicated to educating the current and future generation of professionals in the sector,” said Jesus Caballero.

The accreditation is the result of the successful completion of the assessment and certification process for avioinstructors, training tools, programs and technological infrastructure. The results certified the expertise of the Bulgarian center, its compliance with the highest international standards to conduct trainings from the ACI portfolio.

Sofia Airport’s Aviation Training Center joins an elite group of 21 ACI accredited training hubs worldwide, including those at leading European airports such as Munich, Istanbul and Athens.

The Center will organize and hold, in cooperation with the World Airport Association and with speakers provided by them, all trainings from the ACI portfolio, as well as develop programs to enhance the competencies of experts in the aviation sector. The SOF Connect Аviation Training Center is licensed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Administration and conducts various courses on security, cargo and ground operations, passenger handling, safety, etc. With the international accreditation, the Sofia Airport Aviation Training Center will educate professionals from the region and around the world.
