The implementation of the investment plan of the concessionaire of Sofia Airport is already underway, the airport said. Orders with different subject and value have already been made public on the airport’s new website.
The bidding procedures are part of SOF Connect’s policy of transparency and open competition in the selection of contractors for the various investments at the airport. Airfield refurbishment, complex consultancy services for the purchase and construction of a new baggage management system, including the preparation of a technical specification, the preparation of part of the Terminal 2 area for the construction of new commercial area and the supply of vehicles (including electric vehicles) are just some of the contracts announced on the Sofia Airport website.
“SOF Connect’s investment policy is aimed at improving the quality of the services offered, which will contribute to a better passenger experience. Safety and high level services are among our priorities, so investments in renovations and new equipment are among the most important,” said Jesús Caballero, CEO of Sofia Airport.
