If you are planning a domestic flight from Sofia Airport, it is advisable to be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. From now on, flights will be served from gates located in the inner part of Terminal 2.
This means that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the shops, restaurants and business lounge located in Terminal 2 before your journey.

SOFIA AIRPORT CONDUCTS A FULL-SCALE EMERGENCY EXERCISE

SOF Connect is conducting a full-scale emergency exercise at Sofia Airport today.

The purpose of the exercise is to practice the actions of all services in the event of an emergency landing of an aircraft. In the exercise participate representatives of the specialized departments of Sofia Airport and as well as from BULATSA, the Bulgarian Red Cross, the Main Directorate “Border Police” and the Directorate “National System 112″ of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sofia Municipality Directorate ”Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” and the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance.

During the exercise, Sofia Airport functions normally and without changes in the flight schedule.
