Press releases

SOFIA AIRPORT IS LOOKING FOR A DESIGNER FOR THE RENOVATION AND REFURBISHMENT OF TERMINAL 2

Sofia Airport launches a tender procedure for conceptual and technical designs for the renovation of Terminal 2.

The selection procedure will be carried out in two stages. For the initial selection, all interested parties can register their interest and submit the relevant documents published on Sofia Airport’s website. This can be done until 15 December, as the capital’s airport has given more time to allow a wider range of interested participants to take part.

Bidders will then be invited to submit their Offers no later than 23 December. The total contract value will be announced once a contractor has been selected.

More details on this and all active contracts can be found on the Sofia Airport website.

The reconstruction of Terminal 2 at the capital airport is part of a strategy for a five-star passenger experience, but also a step to improve efficiency and direct all passenger traffic from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2. As a reminder, a completely new Terminal 3 will be built and commissioned by 2030, radically changing the face of the airport.
