SOF to invest BGN 10 million in IT transformation
Sofia Airport’s main IT system will be completely replaced in the coming months. Global IT companies, including Bulgarian ones, can express interest in the period from November 18 to December 2 and submit bids by December 23.
The Airport Operations Management System – AOMS is the backbone of the airport’s digital processes and covers activities ranging from check-in, gate management, guest lounges, aircraft parking, flight information and many other operations throughout the airport related to passenger, aircraft and baggage handling. The new system will allow for significantly more efficient resource management and replace a large amount of outdated manual processes currently in place.
It is the latest major IT system to be tendered internationally as part of the airport’s digital transformation plan worth more than BGN 10 mln. The digitisation of processes, implementation of new systems, a new website and a mobile app are all part of the airport’s 5-star strategy with a focus on a better passenger experience and improved efficiency.
