As of Monday, August 9, all scheduled flights arriving in the time range 8 pm – 8 am will be served only at Terminal 2. This will facilitate faster processing of documents and the passing of passengers.
There will be no change for flights landing on schedule before 8:00 at Terminal 1. They will not move to Terminal 2 to avoid the inconvenience of travelers and their meeters and greeters. All bussines flights will be operated at Terminal 1.
As of August 7, 2021 arriving daily flights of Wizz air from: London-Luton (LTN), Bari (BRI), Larnaca (LCA), Nice (NCE) and Copenhagen (CPH) also will be served at Terminal 2. Departure flights to these destinations will continue to be operated at Terminal 1.
The decision for the change of operating all arriving flights was initiated by the management team of SOF Connect and was taken after discussions and meetings with Border Police, Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate and Ground Handling Operators.
In relation to the introduced change and for the convenience of passengers, Sofia International Airport is extending the working hours of the free inter-terminal transport and he becomes open 24 hours a day.
The exit to the bus gate for domestic flights is renovated, the floor is newly covered.
