From today, Sun Express airline operates seasonal flights from Sofia to Antalya. The flights will be twice a week – every Tuesday and Friday. Until now, the airline operated only chartered flights on this route.
The first flight was greeted with an official ceremony and a traditional water salute. The event was attended by Jesus Caballero – CEO of SOF Connect, operator of Sofia Airport, Georgi Kabaivanov – Manager of Tal Aviation from Bulgaria, tour operators and representatives of the media.
“We welcome SunExpress for the decision to launch seasonal flights to Antalya from the Sofia Airport. Through them, Bulgarians will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique experience of the Turkish Riviera during the winter season as well.”, said. Mr. Caballero during the ceremony.
Established as a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines in 1989, SunExpress specializes in offering multiple direct connections between various European cities and Turkey.
Tickets are now on sale and reservations can be made throughout the SunExpress distribution network or through the tourist agency at Sofia Airport.
