Vasil Levski Sofia Airport has been awarded by ACI World and Amadeus with the prestigious award “Best Airport in Europe with 5 to 15 million passengers” for travellers experience for 2024. This major recognition is the result of passenger feedback, confirms the high level of service and recognizes the constant efforts to improve the passenger experience implemented by the airport operator SOF Connect.

In recent years, SOF Connect has implemented a number of initiatives to improve the passenger experience, from modernising terminals and cleaning, to making navigation easier and security checks faster. The ASQ Awards are organised by Airports Council International (ACI) in partnership with Amadeus and are considered the leading benchmark for quality in the aviation industry. They are based on the world’s largest passenger experience satisfaction survey, which measures real-world impressions from more than 400 airports in 110 countries around the world. The survey aims to determine passenger experience satisfaction at the airport and provide guidance on improving services and operations to meet consumer expectations. In 2024, the ASQ programme completed nearly 700,000 surveys and awarded a record 181 ASQ awards to 95 airports worldwide:
