Important information for travelers to Varna and Burgas!
If you are planning a domestic flight from Sofia Airport, it is advisable to be at the airport 2 hours before your departure. From now on, flights will be served from gates located in the inner part of Terminal 2.
This means that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the shops, restaurants and business lounge located in Terminal 2 before your journey.

Access to Terminal 2

Starting in early 2025, a new controlled access system is introduced at the curbside area of Terminal 2 at Sofia Airport to improve traffic flow and ensure greater security.

How does the system work?

  1. 10 minutes of free stay
    All drivers have 10 minutes of free stay at the “Kiss & Ride” zone, Terminal 2 curbside area. The minimum time between free entries is 60 minutes.
  2. Entry with or without registration
    • Drivers entering the area with vehicles not registered in the system need to print a ticket at the entry barriers.
    • Drivers with vehicles registered in the system are automatically allowed entry through license plate recognition.
  3. Decision after entry
    After entering the curbside area, each driver has 10 minutes free of charge to decide:

    • To drop off/pick up passengers at the “Kiss & Ride” zone.
    • To enter one of the parking lots.
  4. Single ticket system
    To enter one of the parking lots, the driver needs to scan the same ticket issued when entering the curbside area.
  5. Parking restrictions
    Parking within the “Kiss & Ride” zone or on the street within the Terminal 2 curbside area is NOT allowed.
  6. Subscribers and staff
    Drivers with a subscription agreement, pre-booked parking, or airport staff members also have only 10 minutes of free stay in their designated parking lot.

Pricing

  1. Staying longer than 10 minutes in the “Kiss & Ride” zone incurs a charge.

Tariffs (incl. VAT):
For vehicles up to 259 cm height (including):

  • 0–10 min – 0 € | 0 BGN
  • 11–30 min – 5.00 € | 9.78 BGN
  • 31–59 min – 8.00 € | 15.65 BGN
  • Every starting hour – 10.00 € | 19.56 BGN

For vehicles over 259 cm height:

  • 0–30 min – 0 € | 0 BGN (+30 min free for parking P8)
  • 31–59 min – 15.00 € | 29.34 BGN
  • Every starting hour – 25.00 € | 48.89 BGN

Drivers have 10 minutes to leave the curbside area after paying the ticket (if a charge for a longer stay is applied).

Payment options

  1. Cash and card at any parking payment station at Terminal 2.
  2. Next to the exit (dedicated pocket for a short stop with payment station).
  3. At the exit barriers (cards only).
  4. Postpaid payment (subscription contract).

Bus Parking

  • Bus Parking (P8) is dedicated for buses short-term stay only, for pick-up and drop-off needs.
  • Buses over 259 cm height have 10 minutes free in Kiss & Ride zone and 30 minutes free in parking P8 (minimum time between free entries – 60 minutes).
  • Entry to P8 parking is controlled by an additional barrier.

For easier access, Sof-Connect is ready to offer post-payment agreements. These agreements allow users to register license plate numbers in the system, enabling entry without the need to print a ticket. Payment for overstays exceeding the free time, as per the above tariff, will be made monthly against invoice, after the end of the relevant month. We kindly ask users who wish to have post-payment agreements to fill out the application form available and submit it to us.
